Conferences

The Centre for Systematic Musicology regularly organizes international conferences. Three international conference series were started by the centre: 

  • The Conference on Interdisciplinary Musicology (CIM) is the first and only conference series devoted to interdisciplinary interactions between humanities and sciences in musicology. The first CIM was held in Graz in 2004.
  • The International Conference for Students of Systematic Musicology (SysMus conference series) is the first and only student conference series devoted to systematic musicology. The first SysMus conference was held in Graz in 2008.
  • The conference on Applied Interculturality Research (cAIR) was the first conference conference series devoted to the practical application of interculturality research in all disciplines. The first cAIR was held in Graz in 2010 and the series was discontinued after the second conference in Portugal.
