New study published

Saturday, 19 November 2022

The „Music and Brain“ group of our centre (Peter Schneider, Annemarie Seither-Preisler, Bettina Zeidler, Markus Christiner and previous centre member Sabrina Turker) showed in a recent study, published in Annals of the New York Academy of Sciences, that the active listening program AULOS, which has been developed during the past years, optimizes cortical auditory processing after only 1-2 weeks. The training also leads to substantial improvements in auditory perception. Effects are comparable to years of musical training, which are also studied by the research group. The team now attempts to provide the training for individuals with central auditory processing disorders and for children and adolescents with developmental disorders.
