We are pleased to announce that Dr. Meave Ávila has received a 3-months Ernst Mach-fellowship (EZA) from the Austrian Federal Ministry of Science, Research and Economy (BMWFW) for collaborative research activities at our Centre. Dr. Ávila has studied Music Technology and Classical Guitar at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and Instrumental Pedagogy (IGP) at the Mozarteum in Salzburg. He is a Professor for Musical Appreciation and Ear Training at the Instituto Tecnológico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM) and at the Escuela Nacional de Música of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). In addition, he teaches Music Theory at the latter institution. We wish Dr. Ávila a pleasant stay at our Centre!
